Com previsão de estreia para 2013, o novo filme de um dos maiores heróis da DC, Superman – O Homem de Aço (Man of Steel), já teve alguns dos novos uniformes revelados, dentre eles, o novo uniforme do herói.
Durante a Licensing Expo 2012, os uniformes do novo Superman, que será interpretado por Henry Cavill, e dos personagens Jor-El (Russell Crowe) e Faora (Antje Traue) foram exibidos dentro de redomas de vidro. Com tons de azul e vermelho bem mais sóbrios perto das cores vívidas que o uniforme costumava ter, o que mais chamou atenção nessa versão do Superman foi a ausência da clássica cueca vermelha por cima da roupa e o tecido texturizado, diferente das versões anteriores, que eram sempre lisas.
